What you can do

Use reflected to average the scene, incident for light on the subject, or spot to compare one tone. Switch modes any time.
Spot reticle
Tap and pinch to place the spot. Spot locks camera exposure so you can compare tones; reflected and incident keep the preview adapting.
Hold a reading
Lock the current EV when the light is right, then unlock to keep metering. Display EV, lux, or foot-candles.
Sunny 16 calculator
A free exposure calculator for daylight work. Set ISO and get shutter and aperture in 1/3-stop steps — no purchase required.
Meter stays free forever

Local-first by design
Luxwell keeps your settings, calibration offset, camera presets, and shoot log on your iPhone. The camera is used only to measure light — PaprikaTech does not operate a cloud backend that stores your EV readings, photos, or log notes.
We use TelemetryDeck for privacy-oriented usage analytics (for example, that the meter opened or a mode changed) — never your EV values, camera frames, or log text. Purchases are handled through Apple and RevenueCat as described in our Privacy Policy.
